What to do if you missed your trade-in collection
Missing your trade-in collection can be frustrating, but don't worry, there are still options available to you. Here's what you should do:
-
Driver Didn't Attempt Collection: Our team will be able to see if DPD made a valid attempt to collect your parcel. If the driver did not make a valid attempt to collect your parcel, such as claiming that you weren't in without even attempting to reach you, we will rebook your collection free of charge as the cost is recovered from DPD.
-
Driver Attempted The Collection: If the driver made a valid attempt to collect your parcel and you were not present, you can either book another home collection for £15 on a more convenient day or choose the drop-off option for free. When choosing the drop-off option, you will receive a pre-paid QR code label via email, which will allow you to take your trade-in to the nearest drop-off point.
Please note that DPD will not attempt a collection a second time after a failed attempt. Therefore, making arrangements for your collection or drop-off as soon as possible is essential to avoid any further delays.
Where to find your Drop-off label.
If you have chosen to drop off your item at a designated point, DPD will send you a QR code that is scanned at the drop-off point. The email containing the QR code will come from pickup.returns@dpd.co.uk.
